My name is Koosha Nazemi, and I have been playing soccer since the age of 4. I am currently a student-athlete from the University of Toronto, where I continue to compete in soccer and study Kinesiology.
From a young age I've dreamed of representing my native country of Canada on the world stage. A former member of the Toronto FC Academy, my soccer career took a hit when I suffered a torn ACL in 2013. I had doubts that I would be able to realise this dream of mine when I was later released from the club.
However, through the tremendous support from my teammates, coaches, and especially family throughout the years (along with a lot of hardwork), I have continued to improve and develop as a soccer player.
As a result, I have been selected to represent Canada at this year's Summer Universiade that is being held in Taipei, Taiwan.

"The Universiade is an international sporting and cultural event which is staged every two years in a different city. It is only second to the Olympic Games."

My participation in this event is self-funded. My goal amount covers all necessary expenses associated with the team. Any support would be greatly appreciated!
