KOOKIES N KREAM to represent AUSTRALIA at the Olympics of hip hop dance: THE WORLD HIP HOP CHAMPIONSHIPS in Arizona, USA
KOOKIES N KREAM DANCE TEAM
Kookies N Kream is a 23 person dance team from all four corners of Sydney (15-27 years of age) established by their Director, Jet Valencia, since 2010. Some of the crew are now studying to finish their HSC, some are studying to finish their university degrees and others are working hard to support their families. Although they all come from different backgrounds, their love for dance is evident in their passion and dedication.
The team has won numerous state and national titles but one title has eluded them for over 4 years. This all changed when they earned the opportunity to represent our country at the biggest and most prestigious hip hop dance competition in the world, Hip Hop International. Announced as one of the top dance crews in Australia, Kookies N Kream is now heading towards the world stage in Arizona, USA on 7 August 2017!
Earning a spot in the Australian team was not an easy feat but the journey to Arizona will be the ultimate test. Funding is greatly needed for costs ranging from flights and accommodation to rehearsal studio hire and costumes. We are hoping to raise close to $40,000 to cover these expenses by the end of May before the travel prices sky rocket as we move closer to the date.
So this is where you lovely people come in!
