Hi!
My Name is Kelly and I am a volunteer at the Bradshaw Animal Shelter in Sacramento CA. On any given day at the shelter there are on average over 150 dogs here looking for a fur-ever home. Their day is spent in a 3X7 kennel with basically nothing to do! Yes, sometimes they can get walked, but that is maybe once a week if they are lucky! These dogs can only take so much before they literally start to lose their minds, the stress from the noise and confinment is insurmountable!!
This is where you and I come in ! It has been proven that the dogs that are able to play with the Kongs are much more relaxed and happy. The Kongs are like a doggy pacifier. I've seen this for myself and it is crazy the difference it makes.
My goal is to raise money so that I can purchase approximatley 100 Kongs and high quality treats to stuff them with for the shelter. Yes, the shelter does have some Kongs, but they get wore out and only about 1 in 10 dogs are able to have a toy. The cost of the XXL Kongs ( these are the size the shelter rquires) are between $19-$22 dollars depnding on where I can buy them. Im looking at Amazon and Chewy.. Im also currently trying to work a deal out with Kong directly.
If you can spare anything to help these poor babies out , It would make a world of difference in a shelter dogs life!!!!
