Kolowich and Reed Fire Relief

My sister, Nancy Kolowich (from another mother and father) and her husband, Marty Reed lost their home in the Mountain View fire the afternoon of 17 November in California near the Nevada border. They have lost everything!

Nancy was not home and knew nothing about the fire until a neighbor called to warn her. Thankfully the neighbor called because Marty often took an afternoon nap. Had this neighbor ( hero) not called Nancy and she not been able to answer the call, this would be much much more tragic than it is. Marty only had time to get himself out of the house with just the clothes on his back before the fire was upon him and before the house with everything on their property burnt to the ground.

This has been a very difficult year for them with the death of Nancy’s youngest brother, Mark in January; the company that Marty worked for closing down permanently; and, now just ten months after closing escrow on their small peaceful dream home - it’s all gone with every one of their belongings - from clothing, pots and pans, furniture, important and special momentos such as pictures and letters to their electronics. All of this amid this isolating pandemic that is 2020.

Your help is greatly appreciated and needed to get them winter clothing, housing, food and anything else they may need in order to move forward with their lives right now and provides them with some peace of mind.
