Kole's Battle with Cancer
On July 9th, 2021 Kole Vogt was on a video conference call for work when he suffered a seizure. His wife Janelle Vogt (Johnson) was alerted due to him calling out right before the event and was able to help him through it while also alerting 911. He was rushed to Sioux Falls, SD Avera where he was soon unable to speak, write, or walk. After a few days and battery tests later they were brought answers. Kole has a 7cm mass on the side of his head which turned out to be Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma (NOS).
If you know the Vogts (Wife- Janelle; Children- Kloe (2) and Maverick (10mo)) you know they are no stranger to these out of the blue circumstances as they experienced a previous scary event with their daughter Kloe (anagram of Kole by the way) who was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation and Myasthenia Gravis. She was also in the hospital for a long period of time and had a long list of tests done as well. She is doing amazing by the way (full remission – Praise the Lord) – I had the privilege of hanging with my niece last week and find her an excellent source of enjoyment.
I speak not of Kole not to draw attention away but for everyone to understand what this family has already been through, what they are going through, and what they will go through in the future. This is a family that has been forged in fire and come out twice as amazing on the other side.
Everyone who knows Kole knows the amazing person he is. He is kind, intelligent, well-liked, funny, hard-working, loving, and supportive. He works hard for his family and loves them dearly. He has been an amazing brother in law to me and an amazing husband to my sister Janelle. I love him dearly.
Kole will be unable to work for a period of time during this endeavor. This has been set up to help support Kole and his family during this time. This is not the only way to support this family, other options include but are most definitely not limited to:
