Kokoda Trek for Cam’s Cause

Donation protected
Nick and I are trekking the Kokoda Trail in July. The 96km trek stretches through the PNG jungle following in the footsteps of the Aussie soldiers from WWII. Our family connection to the Australian military stretches back many generations on both sides of our family.

Nick served in the Royal Australian Navy for 12 years as a Medic. Recently, he competed at the Invictus Games, representing Australia. He won Gold in the seated shotput and bronze in the seated discus. Nick is walking the Kokoda Track as a test of both physical and mental strength following his medical discharge from the RAN.

The reason for our trek; Corporal Cameron Baird was a Commando who was killed attempting to neutralise enemy fire in Afghanistan. He was awarded (posthumous) the Victoria Cross for valour and ultimate personal sacrifice.

Cam’s Cause is an Australian charity founded by Corporeal Cameron Baird’s parents after he was killed in Afghanistan. They provide support to hundreds of returned servicemen and women and their families who have suffered through the trials of war.

We aim to raise as much money and awareness for this cause as possible. 100% of donations will be passed along to Cam’s Cause to ensure those that served our country can live the life they deserve on home soil. It a cause that is held very close to our family’s heart.

Any donation big or small, would be a wonderful contribution to the charity.
