The Carter Ames Memorial Benefit

In March 2014, a tragic and unexpected shooting occurred in our quiet town. When evidence and explanation were brought to light, we were saddened at the loss of our beloved classmate, Carter Ames. Even more devastating was the idea that his young son, Kody, would have to carry on without one of his loving caregivers.

Under the primary care of his wonderful mother, Joyce, eleven-year-old Kody Ames is a brilliant, strong young man, whom is now mourning the loss of his loved one. Specifically, we are asking for small item donations to be combined in raffled baskets, larger items to be raffled away, and monetary donations. All of the money collected and made in raffles and attendance will go directly to Kody Ames. We are happy to list you or your business as a generous contributor.

On June 7, 2014 from 1 to 10pm at Bud and Tootie's bar in New Philadelphia, Ohio, we are throwing a large benefit in memory of Carter Ames and in honor of Kody Ames. Our goal is to collect $2,000 for this resilient young man, but we are determined to go above and beyond this goal. Even the smallest donation will help Kody overcome the struggles he's facing.
