My name is Kodie Peekstok I'm seventeen years old from Waterford Ontario. In May of this year I applied to Team Canada to compete in Denmark at the ISA World Championships for SUP racing. Only going into my second full year of racing I thought this would be a long shot. But the night we were getting ready to do our paddle across Lake Erie I received an email saying I was excepted to the team.
I am going to represent CANADA!! However there is no funding for this sport as of yet. So we are all responsible for all of the costs ourselves. Travel, hotel, entry fees, shipping our equipment, food etc..... I only have 6 weeks to get all of the arragements made before I fly out.
This is why I'm asking for your support. This trip is a chance of a lifetime and I want to bring home a gold for Canada.
I love Paddleboarding and hope that one day it will become an Olympic Sport,
I promise to paddle my butt off for all of you.
