After months, tirelessly working and saving, I am feeling a bit dejected. My insurance considers much of my surgery to be cosmetic, and therefor not covered, which means after months of pushback, and negotiating, they will not be covering as much of my surgery as I thought.
That being said, thank you so much for all you have contributed! I am about 4 grand away from getting top surgery! YAHOO! I appreciate you contributing in anyway, whether it be scheduling a photoshoot, or donating.

The overall cost between my gender reaffirming surgery, hormone replacement therapy, and legal name change, is $6500.

Any size donation is helpful, using this option allows no other 3rd party to take part of your donation, which is overall more beneficial.
3. Donating here if you're more comfortable would be incredible. Just know that you're donation will be shared with the percentage gofund me deducts!
4. If you're unable to make a cash donation, but are willing to send me designs you have made as an artist to use to sell shirts/various other products, please let me know! I would not take the rights to your work by any means, and as soon as my goal was met, would forfeit all further profits back to you.
The politics of this aside, I have known my entire life who I am, and what it means to be fully myself. I hadn't had the words, the resources, the support or the ability to know what it meant to be me. I started my journey young, throwing myself into LGBTQ organizations as early as middle school. I have been involved as a student leader in The Massachusetts GSA Network, transgender speaker for PFLAG, keynote speaker for The National Young Feminist Leadership Conference for queering our campus, camp counselor for LGBTQIA youth summer camp, gender and sexuality alliance president at my high school and Salem State University. I am queer, and I am public. I am privileged to be able to do this, and thank the many people who helped me get here, and understand that my privilege comes at the expense of others. I will tirelessly continue to learn through my transition what it means to be able to be out, and want to continue to make this a possibility for more people.
Due to my asthma progressing from wearing a chest compression shirt, and my overall dysphoria having a larger impact on my ability to succeed, I am asking for help. I don't like asking for help, but I understand that in order for me to effectively move forward living my most genuine life, this is something I need to do.
