Kobicha's Cluster Seizures

Hi there, Kobicha's mom Emily here. I rescued Kobicha  when he was about two years old from Hearts for Paws Rescue  and he's a little over 3.5 years old now.



Seizures Begin
Nine weeks ago Kobicha had a single seizure and it sent us to the emergency vet.

Cluster Seizures Begin
On Thursday he had what seemed like another single seizure, but it turned into a cluster. He had 13 seizures before getting to the Sacramento Animal Hospital where he had three more. He was there for a full day before being transferred to Vista Veterinary Specialists (a 24 hour emergency hospital). He had one very violent seizure there.

We're Asking For Your Help
This will be lifelong, both the medications and the hospitalizations for clusters that won't stop. I'm hoping to get some help so that we have the capacity to handle this next time. I have money saved up for emergencies for him, but it doesn't come close to what we are looking at for past bills and the near future. I'm asking for your help to make sure that I can get Kobicha the care he so needs. In the meantime, I'm working hard to find ways to save more and actively looking for a less expensive apartment on the ground floor (his meds are making walking even on flat surfaces extremely difficult).

Sweet Kobicha is such a love and this is an incredibly scary time, and one with so many unknowns about health, emotions, finances, logistics, and more. He has the biggest beautiful brown eyes, is the sweetest cuddler, and loves playing with his friends at Grateful Dog Daycare and Truitt Bark Park (even if he can be a little bit of a trouble maker from time to time...).

Please help this sweet love bug so we can get him the best care possible!

Some of Kobicha's costs so far have been:

 - $395.78 (Atlantic Street Veterinary Hospital for first seizure in May) -  funds raised in this amount will be withdrawn to pay for the credit card bill
 - $550 (Sacramento Animal Hospital for cluster hospitalization all day August 10th)-  funds raised in this amount will be withdrawn to pay for the credit card bill
 - $810.82 (Vista Veterinary Specialists for cluster hospitalization overnight August 10th and all day August 11th)-  funds raised in this amount will be withdrawn to pay for the credit card bill
 - Other funds spent on male wraps (diapers) - $22.95 for 12, rear lift for walking support (Kurgo Up and About Lifter for Support ) - $29.95, pill pockets (Capsules ) - $9.99 and pill pockets (tablets ) - $8.99 , Frisco soft kennel  ($58.99), PetSafe Easy Sport Dog Harness with handle  - $24.99) = $201.78 -  funds raised in this amount will be withdrawn to pay for the credit card bill
 -Anything extra raised will go towards his care: medication, regular vet visits,  regular blood panels, training to adjust to his 'new normal', supplies, etc. - funds raised in the excess amount will be deposited into an already existing separate bank account in Emily's name but dedicated to Kobicha

 We may have to see a neurologist and do future tests in the future, and reimbursing his past vet bills will make that WAY more feasible.
