For those of you who may not know me, my name is Susanne. I never thought I’d be in a position to be setting up one of these, but here I stand asking for your help.

My best friend over the last 11 years has fallen ill. For those that know Koa, he is a happy Labrador who greets everyone with a toy or a twerk sesh and eats anything in sight. Until he suddenly stopped eating, stopped shadowing me, and stopped twerking. We’ve run a slew of tests and hospitalized him over the last 10 days, which has taken a toll on me financially. He’s turning a corner in his care and seems to be pulling through, but at this point, any dollar helps.

As an animal lover and advocate, saying goodbye when you know there’s a chance of saving your best friend is an impossible decision to make. I watch it happen daily in what I do as a career. Financial euthanasia was out of the question for me if he responded to his treatments as he should. And he is.
