Written by a compelling, authentic voice, Knock Knock is a short film (approximately 15 minutes) that aims to heighten awareness of the prevalence of violence against women and the continuing perpetuation of gender inequality. We have a diverse cast of union (Actra) actors including Caucasian, Black, Indigenous, Persons with Disabilities and Members of the 2SLBGTQIA+ community.
The WHO (World Health Organization) and the UN (United Nations) estimate that globally, one in three women or girls are physically or sexually assaulted in their lives. That translates into 736 million females worldwide. The WHO has declared that violence against women is a violation of women’s human rights.
VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN IS PREVENTABLE.
