STERLING PARADE 2021

Sterling Park Community: We need your support (individuals, businesses, groups, and organizations) to ensure our small, local parade continues to happen.

Since 1981, your local Knights of Columbus (KofC) council, has hosted a community-based parade on the Saturday morning of Columbus Day Weekend. This parade is our give back to Sterling Park and features YOU our citizens, our volunteers, our business leaders, and our community at large.

This year, the 40th consecutive year, the parade will be hosted in Sterling, on Saturday, October 9, 2021 by the Christ the Redeemer Knights of Columbus Council #16234.

This event offers great community spirit and is a perfect lead-in for the local groups and merchants who participate at SterlingFest—Sterling Park’s annual festival which occurs on the same day as the Sterling Parade.

The CTR Knights of Columbus organize the parade and provide volunteers for all aspects of parade planning and execution. The Knights work with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office for traffic control and pedestrian safety along the parade route. And for 40 years, the Knights have put on this parade with little outside help needed. Those times, unfortunately, are changing. We require the financial support of the Sterling Park Community to ensure our small, local parade continues.

Obviously, there are expenses associated with hosting this parade, and we are soliciting contributions to help pay those costs. Our goal is to raise $3,000. The suggested amount for our local businesses is $300, but any amount will be appreciated. Individual donations of any size matter and are also greatly appreciated!!

Contributions for the parade fund can be made directly here or mailed to Knights of Columbus, Council #16234, PO Box 26, Sterling, Virginia 20167.  Checks should be made out to “K of C Council 16234.”
