Knee surgery so I can find a job

I'm a retired woman who lives alone has no family close by. I recently fell from a ladder & badly injured my knee while putting up ceiling trim. I will require surgery in a month. Thanks to rising medical insurance costs, I have a $560 premium and $7150 deductable.
Unfortunately, I had not been able to exercise regularly nor look for part time work (to cover rising insurance costs) as I've been struggling with vertigo for FOUR years. A wonderful Chiropractor cured the vertigo in December and reopened my life back up. So I happily restarted the basement improvements that I had put on hold and never thought I could ever get back to. I hung my first drywall, mudded, taped and then fell. Crawled through the basement, up the stairs, to the car. I drove to the ER and crawled through the ER parking lot until a wonderful ambulance driver saw me and helped me into a wheelchair.
My church has provided some food to help me survive and are praying for my healing. They've been a spiritual rock.
i live a very simple life. The medical bills are eating through my savings at an alarming rate.
I hope after I recover, that I can use this experience to help provide resources to people w/o families who have these sudden medical emergencies. I'm finding that apart from the extraordinary pain, the next worst part is the fear of not knowing how you will get through this alone and not having an active plan to work.
God bless anyone who can provide help to me in this scary time. It can take one accident for a person like me who lives alone to to feel that oppressive hopelessness along with the monumental stress of a huge debt added.
