Save The KMP Bees!

Kettle Moraine Playhouse just finished our inaugral season of five shows. But, as a performing theater troupe in an old, renovated church, we have a few challenges.
Now, as we get into the warm summer months, the hive of honey bees - estimated at 50,000-100,000 bees - is getting more active from their hive hanging from the underside of the roof and down into an outside wall. Unfortunately, they get quite irritated when neighbors mow their lawns, and we want to make sure that those participating in our kids summer programs can do so in comfort.
The honey bees have been long time tenants of the 136 year old former church in Slinger, WI, and many attempts to "discourage" the bees have failed.
Goal #1 is to save the bees! As we know, honey bees are decreasing in number, and are necessary to the survival of our planet. It is a giant hive, and will need special care to remove.
We have found a source to remove the bees and relocate them, promising gentle handling. Then the hive has to go as well, and the honey cleaned out. Unfortunately, the honey will not be salvageable as previous owners of this building had tried some chemicals to attempt to remove the bees.
Goal #2 is to make the repairs to the roof, brickwork, and facia of the building to restore it to its classic beauty, and make sure that the building is properly sealed to keep unintended tenants from returning.
Remaining funds, if any, will be used to repair and maintain this beautiful building.
