Kathryn's Medical Expenses

Saturday, August 30, 2014 started off as any other day for Kathy.....and then a drastic turn. By 10:30pm, Kathy was in the ER after exhibiting symptoms of a heart attack. Four hours later, the doctors confirmed that she had had a series of heart attacks and was being admitted to the hospital.

On Monday, September 1, 2014, Kathy was in the OR having a procedure called a cardiac catherization. This procedure revealed that Kathy was suffering from a torn aorta-which was not allowing for the proper blood flow to the heart, causing the heart attacks. Kathy was then taken to Norfolk (VA) Sentara Heart Hospital and underwent open heart single bypass surgery.


During the time this happened, Kathy was in between jobs and therefore had no health insurance. Kathy already has medical bills in excess of $100,000.00 and has been told not to stress over how she will pay the bills, but she does as this ordeal was totally unexpected.

Any amount of donation will help with her medical bills as well as her current medical expenses (medications and cardiac rehab).
