When a person thinks of family, you think of smiles, laughter, fun and good times. Despite falling on hard times our friends, the Lopez family continues to carry on as one.
Recently Melissa Lopez, Socorro ISD teacher and mother of three beautiful young daughters (middle school, high school and college), was diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy and frequent medical checkups as a result. Sadly, if this battle was not enough for this beautiful family, they were again struck with another monstrous obstacle.
Last week JJ, Melissa's husband, was hit by a sudden heart attack prompting emergency medical attention. After a week of care in the hospital JJ just under went a triple bypass and is now recovering.
As you all can imagine the physical pain is enough to cripple anyone, but on top of physical, medical and mental hardship the economic aspect of life still exists. Our friends, our family, would greatly appreciate any assistance you can help with in order to continue their battle. Medical expenses, utilities, mortgage, groceries, etc. are all realities that still need to be dealt with during this difficult time. With both Melissa and JJ unable to work, we ask for everyone to please find it in their hearts to donate to the Lopez family fund.
