Feb Fire Fund

What is #FebFireFund

This summer’s bushfires have ravaged our fair state. We all have a deep connection to the communities that are burning, especially as so much of our produce comes from Gippsland — as well as our suppliers, they are our long-held friends. The consequences are overwhelming and their scale is only just being realised.

To support our friends in Gippsland, we’re uniting the Victorian hospitality industry and joining #RestaurantsforRelief to raise money through one centralised hub, #FebFireFund.

#FebFireFund will direct 100% of funds back to BlazeAid, a volunteer-based organisation that works with communities in rural Australian after natural disasters, where volunteers help to rebuild fences and other structures that have been damaged or destroyed.

Who are we?

A group of restaurateurs including Scott Pickett (Estelle, Matilda, Pastore, Pickett’s Deli, Lupo), Alejandro Saravia (Pastuso) and Jesse Gerner & The Bomba Crew alongside Cam Smith (Eat It! 3RRR), Shaun Gamarra (The Design Studio) & Nicole Abiad (Reymond Communications).

How can you support?

It’s as simple as visiting participating food and wine venues across Victoria. You can see all the venues involved and what they’re doing to support on the @FebFireFund Facebook group.

Alternatively, you can donate directly to the #FebFireFund GoFundMe.
