Future fund - Kmart kidnapping victim

I am a family member of the innocent little 7-year-old girl abducted from Kmart in Northlakes QLD on 8 Dec 2018.  She was stalked and lured away from her mum, driven to bushland and sexually assaulted.  The sentence the perpetrator received was highly inadequate and showed little regard for the little girl's well being, now and in the future. 

A great many people have asked how they can help, or where they can donate money in support of her and to demonstrate to her that people really care. We agreed to set up the trust, whilst very conscious of her privacy, as a legitimate way for the very many kind, caring people to help her, in contributing to a fund that can provide her with the support we believe she will need most.

Any very humbly and gratefully received funds donated to her cause will be held in trust for her. This is so that when she is older, she will have the financial means to continue treatment for the physical and psychological trauma she has suffered and will continue to experience.

Whilst she is receiving excellent care and support now as a young child, those funded resources are finite and must, of course, be available for others experiencing devastating injustices. Given the nature of the crime, it is in her later years that child psychology experts tell us she will need extensive professional care and support as she may begin to experience PTSD, anxiety, and depression stemming from this trauma.

We believe this help will be vital to support her to become a happy and healthy teenager and adult. These supports will also allow her to live the normal life she would have, if not for this ordeal.
