Tommy's Emergency Medical bills

Donation protected
This is my daughter and son-in-laws story.
During our pregancy to full term, my wife did all the normal requirements from her doctor. Our son Thomas, born on January 19, 2015, seemed like any healthy newborn baby boy. Thomas weighed 7 lbs 9ozs and 19 1/2 inches long. there were no complications. We asked to have him circumsized before the procedure, Thomas turned blue  from lack of blood pressure. The doctors' found a defect in his little heart, we were told he needed to go to  a specialist .
Thomas  had a closed aorta valve, the vein feeding the heart did not function normally. Thomas's team of doctors recommended a procedure where they were going to put a balloon into his 'hair-sized' vein to open it up. Hopefully, the process would allow enough flow to let the valve open properly. The many hours of deliberation to come to that conclusion by his medical team tried our patience. We said many prayers, and turned to family for support. All this for our little boy, it took almost a full day to find the best solution. Knowing our son needs the help of many trained professionals and not being able to do anything yourself tugs at one's soul. Especially when they said he might not make it, the feeling that the life you just brought into the world could be gone before  it could shine crushed us all. The fact that at two days old, he might not be strong enough to survive put a knot in our stomach.  Not doing the surgery had the same affect as terminating his life.
We sat on pins and needles as the doctors went to work. Estimates of 3 to 4 hours scared us, after 2 1/2 hours they completed the procedure, everything to our relief went well. We still hope that time will tell, seeing Thomas hooked up to 12 Iv's, his little arms swollen from all the trama that he has gone through in his young life pulls at our hearts.
All those many people have given so much to help our son. So many resources for our first born, I rejoice  in seeing him becoming more alert and to hear he may get to come home finally. Still a long way off, but at least a chance to come to his own bed brings a joy to my heart, but reality sets in when we hear what the cost to let Thomas shine in the world.
The bills grow daily, we never thought to ask for help, but we have too. The costs are beyond our means, we need help to pay for those efforts needed to save our son. Any amount helps, as a quote I once heard,
"Yet all life is formed of small things,
Little leaves make up the trees,
    Many tiny drops of water
Blending, make up the mighty seas."
We need to have MANY drops of money to help pay our ocean of debt. Please find it in your heart and wallet to help in Thomas' path to shine in life.
