A Mother's Love = Her children

Donation protected
I’m hoping many of you will join me in this important fundraising opportunity for the Bernard - Colley family. Jarvis (17), Jahnaz (16), Niah (9), and Nadia (3) lost their mother Ngena Bernard suddenly on January 6, 2015. Ngena was a full time student at Dalhousie University, a graduate of the Transitional Year Program and the recipient of Dalhousie's "Johnathan Skeete Award." Ngena was also employed throughout the years as a Day Care Teacher and a Tutor with Black Educators Association's Cultural Awareness and Enrichment Program. However, Ngena's greatest accomplishment was being an exemplary and loving mother of her four beautiful children. We are asking for help to ensure that her children can continue to participate in the extra curriculum activities such as playing basketball at Auburn Drive High School, playing basketball for Basketball Nova Scotia, Piano lessons and Jazz dance lessons. These children need their immediate and extended Family, Basketball family, Dance family, Piano family, Friends and Community not just now but next year and the year after to help get them through the loss of their mom. As the saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child.”
