On the evening of Jan.2, 2018, our very dear friends, Tammy n Bill's 9 yr old daughter (Audria), became instantly paralyzed from the waist down. After testing in the ER she was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis, swelling of the spinal column. After more extensive testing the doctors are still unsure of the cause, but seem to think it is an autoimmune reaction to something as simple as a virus. This has been a very scary experience for the entire family. The treatment so far has consisted of high doses of steroids, plasma aphresis, a single dose of Cytoxan (chemo), and now extensive rehabilitation. She will remain in Children's hospital for at least a month with a long unknown road to recovery. NEVER did this family expect their healthy child to be in this situation. The family has appreciated all the thoughts, prayers, outpouring of love, and support they have received from family, friends, and total strangers and feel very blessed to have each of you in their life. I know many have been asking what more they can do at this difficult time, so we have set up this Go Fund Me campaign to try to ease some of the burden of future unknown medical expenses.
