Jersey's Stem Cell Therapy

Donation protected
Hello,

So this isn't something I was going to honestly do and was a bit embarrassing for me to be asking others for money to help with Jersey's vet bill, but realizing I don't have any other options but to try I hesitantly decided to post this.

Today (1/20/2015) we found out Jersey has severe hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis at the age of only 4 years old and will need a stem cell transplant, the only problem is that this treatment cost $2000 that I don't have. The vet said this is something Jersey was born with.

The stem cell therapy consists of putting Jersey under general anesthesia, then, he will make a small incision in his belly and collect fat tissue, they will then isolate and activate his stem cells and re-inject them into his hips. Re-injecting these stem cells will help to reproduce new cartilage and tissue in his hip joints and target the areas full of inflammation. The procedure is an all-day procedure, the first part takes about 5 hours, and he is then woke up from anesthesia and then put back under the same day to re-inject the stem cells and then will stay overnight. After the surgery he will be on antibiotics for 4 weeks and have limited activity for 6 weeks to make sure the stem cells stay in place. They are typically seeing that this procedure last anywhere from 2-8years.

For those that don’t know who Jersey is, he is my baby (fur child). Jersey is a yellow Labrador who is 4 years old; over these past 4 years we have had quite the ride. I got Jersey at 5 ½ weeks old, he was a sick little pup from the time I received him, and the day he was brought home he had worms and parasites. He has had way more than his fair share of illnesses and trips to the vet. Jersey also battles severe allergies (allergic to 29 different things, both environmental and food) which have caused most of our vet visits due to secondary infections and monthly allergy injections. He now has to battle this awful issue at only 4 years old; he still has a long life to live.

So I please ask that you consider to donate (anything at all, nothing is too small), or if you can’t donate please share this with others to help spread the word. Anything is greatly appreciated.
