eLightbars.org is the only web community devoted to emergency warning equipment. Sellers can discuss, review, and buy or sell equipment. The site is free to join and offers numerous networking and interactive experiences. The site receives requests from law enforcement to provide information about situations related and unrelated to the eLightbars. While the site maintains a budget allowing it to continue to operate, recent changes in the industry have made keeping a proactive legal team necessary. In order to continue to operate in the modern, high liability emergency services equipment field, the site needs to establish a legal fund. This money will be kept separate from other site funds and used to ensure the site is adequately able to answer the requests of law enforcement and protect its interests from civil liability. Emergency equipment is a high impact, high risk and high liability field. Without this fund, eLightbars will be unable to continue to operate.

It was the suggestion of one of our members that brought us to GoFundMe. Our volunteer staff and support team aren't the type to reach out and ask for money, but the point was made that we've helped a LOT of people and businesses over the almost two decades that we've been around. The purpose was never to make money, simply to help others save money and find resources. We've also been told that many businesses have either gotten their start or big break from using eLightbars, and we want that to continue.

In the end, it has made us realize that our mission has been sucessful, so if we have to reach out to the community and ask for help, we're going to exhaust all options.
