Help me fly my kids home

Donation protected

I am 54, but still feel a lot younger. Until recently I had a happy life, a beautiful wife who I adored and three beautiful little children, Vincent 9, daughter Lenii 7 and Jasper 6. Our world fell apart on Mother’s Day, the 9th May 2021 when my beautiful wife passed away suddenly of severe pneumonia after just 10 days of being ill. We, my children and I were completely devastated and because my wife had briefly been put into a covid ward in the hospital, we were not allowed to see her, and the hospital made us have her buried within 12 hours of her passing. No priest, no service, no wake, no family, just us. It broke us, I am crying just thinking of writing this to you.

Two weeks before my wife passed, I had just agreed to return to the UK as I had been offered a job, I had been out of work for nearly two years because of Covid. I had been working in China but borders closed and my work was gone. I struggled to find work as traveling was restricted, but then found a local job near my parent’s home in Dorset. My wife was so excited to think she would go to the UK for the first time to live and make a future for our family, I had never seen her so happy, but then my world and my children’s Mama was gone. Because I still needed to honour my new employer I made the difficult decision to leave the Philippines and not being able to afford tickets I asked my parents to help me. I had already sold many things to put food on the table. Luckily, they were able to help me and they bought me and my eldest son tickets to return to the UK as well as the mandated quarantine hotel necessary because the Philippines is red listed, this alone was £2400 for us both. Deciding to leave my two smaller children behind was another tough decision, not only losing their Mama, but because I had no choice, their Daddy and brother were leaving too.

A long story short, at the test for Covid prior to flying I tested positive so had to cancel flights and the quarantine hotel, after 14 days in home isolation I tested positive again, so another forced 7days in quarantine. I was completely asymptomatic, not a sign of Covid. Luckily, after the final isolation my son and I tested negative and I was able to rebook flights again. We landed in the UK on the 4th July 2021.
It was so difficult to leave my little angels, the hugs they gave me and the tears we shared is something no parent should have to see. Losing Mama was bad enough, now Daddy.

So now I am here, I just started work and my elderly parents are taking care of us. But I need my children to be together again, I need them here with me so we can be a family, albeit without Mama. I desperately need help to try and raise funds to bring my children back to the UK. The Government have now raised the prices for the mandated quarantine hotel to £2400 per adult and I am hoping to raise enough for flights for my children to come to the UK from the Philippines, my flights should I need to go to collect them (I have been looking at accompanied flights if I cannot go), the mandated quarantine hotel costs if necessary and any essential clothing and food that they will need on their return.

I know, such a big wish list, I just want my wife back! I just want to be happy again...
