Chris's campaign for Cancer Research UK

On 4th October I will be slogging my way through the rescheduled Stratford Triathlon, splashing 400metres, panting 18km on the bike and multitasking walking and swearing another 5km. Apparently its good for me but I'll be a lousy advert for exercise that afternoon. Let's face it, I'm built for comfort, a natural sofa tester, so why the hell  am I doing this? 

I know  lots of friends and relatives who have suffered with cancer, fortunately a good few are still with us, having faced long period of treatment and worry, sleepless nights and tough conversations. Others, such as my old mate Paul Simpson are no longer with us, cheated by this cruel disease.  

Charities have been hit hard by Covid 19. Funding 30% down, meaning research is slowed or stopped. 

Will you please give a little, in recognition of the pain I'll go through, to ease the pain of cancer sufferers in future?
