Hicks Family

My name is Lynda Poe. I’m friends with this family from my days in a Lawton, Ok. Deidra’s mom, Misti Hart, and I worked together for years in real estate and is a dear friend. Like Misti I too have lost a grandson and understand the difficultly of navigating these waters and later dealing with the financial burden of the costs of the medical expenses and costs related to attending to the needs of everyone involved, not to mention the possible loss of wages during times such as this.

I believe providing financial support to this family can remove one burden and allow their focus to go to loving one another, to healing from their injuries and to begin to absorb the loss of their son Jon Zerzavy.

On September 25, 2022 the Hicks family was involved in a horrific vehicle accident when they were hit on I-44 by a drunk driver causing them to veer off the interstate and flip the car multiple times leaving the car an unrecognizable tangled mess metal.

Their son Jon Zerzavy, who recently celebrated his 13th birthday, was killed in the crash.

David Hicks was hospitalized with two collapsed lungs, multiple broken ribs and a broken nose.

Deidra was transported by Air Evac to OU Medical treated and released.

Everyone else was also treated and released.
