Help Bethe get surgery

For years and years now my mom has struggled with her weight. There are a lot of underlying issues which she has been working through for most if not all of her adult life. In the past 10 years she has had a LOT of surgeries (12-15 I think) for various problems, most in her shoulder and neck areas. These surgeries stemmed from traumatic injuries earlier in her life. As a result of the surgeries she has spent the last 10 years or so on a large amount of medications including steroids. She has also been very limited in what she could physically do.  Because of that, she has put on even more weight. I have seen my mom work SO HARD to lose weight and every time she does, she has some medical complication that sets her back. It is beyond heartbreaking for me, so I can imagine how she feels. The last surgery she had was greatly affected by her weight. At this point her family practitioner, her orthopedic surgeon and her neurosurgeon have all said that having weight loss surgery would not only be okay, but extremely beneficial. I know my mom very well, and I wouldn’t even ask for money if I didn’t think she could do what is necessary to be successful.

Bethe has researched weight loss surgeries for years, and she has spoken to doctors and patients of every different type. She has gone to seminars. Trust me, she has done her homework. She has decided with the help of specialists and doctors to have the gastric sleeve operation.

At this time I am begging and pleading for your help. My mom’s insurance does not cover weight loss procedures even with doctor’s previous approval. She desperately needs to lose weight, and because of the physical limitations of her half titanium body her choices are very limited. She does very well on diets, so I know she can follow the after surgery directions. This is probably her last chance to be able to get the surgery she needs.
