KJ - Dottie and Husker Vet Expenses
Donation protected
As most of you know, KJ recently loss Dottie and Husker. Dottie and Husker were her kids. Everyone knows KJ has the biggest heart and would do anything for her friends. So a group of us wanted to help KJ out with the unexpected vet bills that have occurred during this difficult time.
KJ probably would be mad if she knew we were doing this, but we wanted to show her our love and support and to many of us, Dottie and Husker were our kids too.
The money will be paid directly to the vet towards the outstanding bill. She will be picking up their ashes next week, so we are hoping to raise as much as we can before then to surprise her.
From KJ's facebook post on 8/30:
When I had to put Dottie to sleep 8 days ago, I never in my worst dreams thought I would lose my other dog. Last night Husker passed away and is now with his sister in heaven. Husker came into our lives 7 years ago as a foster. The shelter gave him the name Bullet. I said if he is staying in our house even temporarily we gotta change that name. Husker loved Dottie immediately and she tolerated him. When it was time to post him for adoption I asked, we will get to go visit him right?!? Laura laughed...and hence he became my first foster fail. He was the most loveable guy and was the best cuddler. I can go on and on about both my babies but my phone is getting too wet with tears. I can't really process this and feel like I am in a nightmare I can't wake up from. As I look thru pictures I am trying to hold onto the love & joy they brought me. I really do appreciate the love, prayers, and messages. If I don't respond, please know I am reading every one with love in my heart. Husker mommy can't tell you enough how much I love you. Take care of your sister and you both will forever be in my heart.
