Hello,
My name is Charles Harrison and my best friend of 15+ years and his wife have become drastically affected by Hurricane Irma. They live about an hour outside of Jacksonville FL and received most of the same ramifications of those in FL. They have been down in the Florida/Georgia area for a little over a year after Keenan got stationed with the Coastguard. It however, has been an easy transition for them two and resulted in them renting a house in the area. Not long after such, hurricane season rolled around and brought Irma. With the false information of no possible real damage coming to light they decide to ride it out. While doing so their area become flooded with waist high water and terrible winds. All in all, they ended up with two totaled cars, including on brand new one, losing everything in the house from: furniture that they have had from their first apartment together to 95% of their clothes. Losing TVs, game systems, personal tokens and many others. Keenan even lost all of his handwritten letters from family and Jessica while he was away at boot camp. Luckily, they made it out safely with their two cats and the few things they could rummage together before leaving for safety. Upon coming back after the devastating situation they had to endure with the cleanup process, they began to realize how much they actually loss. Throughout their lives they have overcome some of the most challenging obstacles, with this being another, while never losing sight of one another. They are two of the strongest people I have ever come across and have countless love for one another. They have such an amazing marriage, one that I even look up too. They continue to show support for one another throughout the lows and the highs and get stronger every day. If there are any other people that could make this situation as positive as possible it would be these two. Now that they are in the rebuilding process of getting over Irma, any possible assistance would be grateful. They deserve nothing but the best and everyone who knows them could vouch to the type of people they truly are. So please, help with getting them back on track and hopefully back to the way things used to be. Anything will help and we thank you for anything you do provide to help.
