Hi, I'm Kiwi...well my real name is Craig but everyone calls me Kiwi because I grew up in New Zealand.
I've been living in the US for 16 years now and many of those have been spent creating art and events. From this I have met many many amazing people that have inspired me to create and bring more fun to the world.
And this is where the KiwiTail comes in....Being a sewer from a very early age (thanks Mum) I made my own costumes, however the costume that got this going was a Green Monkey Suit made for me by a good friend....It had a tail on it...I thrashed the tail and needed a new one. So I created a better tail...I lost it...I created a better tail...it got thrashed again...So after refining the design I had a pretty good looking tail....And then that's when it happened...Someone asked me to make a tail for them....and pay me for it. Eureka...So I have been making KiwiTails on and off for some time now....However, almost 2 years ago I was magically blessed and became a father :) So I have totally been dedicated to being there and caring for our baby Tyla Lee Elizabeth and being there for my partner Bonnie. With this my KiwiTails business has been somewhat put in slow motion and neglected. So now I want to Re-Boot KiwiTails and get it moving along and producing the fun and enjoyment that I know people get from receiving, wearing and gifting KiwiTails.
The funds raised through this campaign will be used to create a Business Marketing plan and an accounting systems plan. Update business licensing from LLC to the correct type of corporation so KiwiTails can expand in the future. Launch a new website with a shopping cart. Create production procedures for custom tails and source production for large scale orders. Purchase raw materials and consumables for immediate production of Tails (eg carabiners, lights, thread and more fur...) The purchase of a second sewing machine :) The creation of marketing supplies (business cards, flyers, T- shirts, stickers, spray paint stencils, etc) oh yeah and the creation of the KiwiTail light. (A recharble clip light that attches to the tail.)
