I am truly excited to announce that I will be going to Ghana! Since the age of five years old I've dreamed of traveling to the land of my ancestors. But as you all know, life happens and dreams are deferred.
In the past year-and-a-half I have been blessed to meet some incredible women. They have inspired me to continue to reach for the stars and think outside the box. One in particular Miss Taurea Vision Avant went to Ghana a short time ago. She was so inspired by her mission trip that within months of her return she has decided to go back and take others with her. When she asked for volunteers to go back to Africa with her non for profit "Show Your Success Worldwide" it was a no-brainer for me. I immediately raised my hand. Not only will I get to travel to the land of my ancestors I will get to impact the lives of children in Ghana. Our mission is to bring awareness to child labor and trafficking all over the world. We plan to teach children how to become authors and entrepreneurs by using the World Wide Web.
My goal is to my goal is to raise $7,000 to bring back to Ghana. Instead of bringing over clothes and books we are going to be a blessing to the Ghanian economy. We will shop for the children's shoes and underwear as well as donate large sums of money to non for profit organizations over there that are doing great things to bring awareness to child trafficking and child labor.
I believe the children are the future. Let's teach them well and helped them lead the, as we show them all the beauty they possess inside.
