There was no wrong doing on the part of the horse owner. I can not begin to imagine the grief and sorrow they are experiencing.
We are a small community, an even smaller horse community. News of the accident spread through Facebook like wildfire and the owners were found. Soon we were all offering to help, which is where this page comes in.
The owners are a nice family that loves their horses, this horse is in for a long recovery. He is stable, still he was hit by a semi truck. His recovery is going to be costly and long. We want to help. You can donate to his care, his recovery, by contacting Sound Equine (http://www.soundequinevet.com/) directly, alternatively you can donate here through this page.
The tragedy of this situation is bigger than my words at the moment. To face this alone would simply further the tragedy for this family. Anything you can do to help would be so very appreciated.
We will continue to update the page with progress and thank everyone for all the love and support already shown.
