Kit-Kats Surgery

Donation protected
I’ve had Kit-Kat since he was 2 months old. Now he is 6. He went through my high school to college transition with me. He taught me responsibility and true love. He has helped me through break ups, fights with my parents, losing friends. He has saved me from my anxiety and depression, that can be crippling at times. He is my therapy. He isn’t just a cat but he is my hero. When I feel like I have nothing left I know that I can come home to him and he will comfort me and remind me that I have more to live for. He gives me hope and the strength to stand up to my mental illness and daily problems.

He is the sweetest, most cuddly cat anyone could ever meet. Everyone who meets him is always surprised by his dog-like personality and he changes the hearts of cat-haters. I always hear “Kit-Kat is the only cat I like!” He loves attention and being the center of it. And he especially needs that now.

A couple of days ago he wasn’t the sweet cuddly cat I knew. He was distant and lethargic. He barely had the strength to move on his own. He wasn’t going in the litter box. I immediately knew something was wrong and took him to the vet.

Kit-Kat has been diagnosed with bladder stones. This can lead to death if untreated. Unlike female cats, male cats are unable to pass these on their own due to their narrow urethra. He stayed one night at the vet where they sedated him, did tests, kept a catheter in, and monitored him. I had to buy special food and give him pills. It has been 2 days since and KitKat still can’t urinate. He only lets out a few drops I know the stones are still there and weren’t all taken out. For the first visit alone it came out to $500.

However there is another option. He can get a surgery for $1,300. Not including fees, recovery, or food.

I don’t know what I would do without my child. I worked all summer, took everything from my small savings, took out a credit card for the first visit, and asked family. I am also waiting on my student loans to come in. But I will take anything I can get for my baby to be better.

I have been through a lot and this is the worst thing that could ever happen to me. I already lost one cat this year and I refuse for that to even be an option. So please if you have anything to donate, I will be beyond grateful and happy, so will Kit-Kat. Thank you for reading.
