About Me
Hi, my name is Ziggy, I’m 15 years old, have been playing football for most of my life and I'm a big supporter of AS Roma. I am currently in year 10 at Alexandra Park School.
What is the Project?
This year I am very thankful to have been invited to come on the Kit Share Project (https://kitshareproject.com) this coming May, where we will travel to the region of Sylhet, Bangladesh, to donate lots and lots of old kits and boots and provide football equipment to those who aren’t so fortunate as people like me for instance. We are also helping to fund and build a new football pitch which has been getting worked on for the past few years to help the community there, which will transform a muddy patch of land into a brand new football pitch with stands, floodlights and new equipment, which is all stuff that we take for granted here and which for someone else may be an unknown luxury. Our project will allow people around the area of Shylet and neighbouring regions to come and be able to play football whenever they want and follow their passion for decades to come!
The Kit Share Project was founded in 2010 and has been helping children non-stop since then, and has donated tonnes of past used kits and boots to young boys and girls who are inspired and in love with the game just like us.
Why support my journey with the Kit Share Project?
The Kit Share Project has inspired me for years as I have been playing at a football club very closely tied with the Kit Share Project (Just Play FC) for almost all of my football career, and every year I have donated old kits and boots that I didn't use anymore for a better cause. This year going to Bangladesh will not only be an amazing chance to donate and share and give to the people, but will also be a great opportunity for me and everyone involved to adapt and embrace new cultures, and help us to gain new skills that could help us and others for years in the future. I am massively looking forward to taking part and finally getting involved with a project that has inspired me so much over the years and that I have heard so much about.
This year, I will be going on the project with Taff, Max and Matt, who have been amazing coaches and role models to me throughout my own personal football journey and who have also inspired me to come along to Bangladesh this year and put all my best efforts into raising money to helping the community, help to fund the project and to give to others and help other people just like us to follow their passion. I’ll really need your help to raise money for this amazing project and to please spread the word about it! Thank you for reading and looking at my page, have a great day!
