We are thrilled to be selected to compete at the Kiruna International Snow Sculpture competition in northern Sweden, in January 2022.

The Kiruna Snow Festival website makes plain that snow sculpting is the highlight of the five day event and our fellow carvers and competitors will include teams from Russia, Spain and Sweden.
We will have five days and nights of cutting, chipping, carving, sanding and etching a 3 x 3 x 3 meter cube of snow to reveal Whaitiri, the blind goddess of thunder in Maori legend.

Some expenses will be met by the Kiruna festival but we do need help please for some travel costs, for some gear, and a couple of rest days to recoup from jet lag before we start working 140 miles above the Arctic Circle: will it be for 10, 12 or 18 hours a day?! Please note that any money raised over and above our out-of-pocket expenses will be donated to the NWT Breast Health/ Breast Cancer Action Group.
