Kirti's Stem Cell Transplant

This campaign is for Kirti, one of my dearest friends, who is currently in the process of going through a Bone Marrow Transplant. He was born with a genetic blood disease called Sickle Cell Anemia. Throughout his life he has been hospitalized more than a hundred times due to having a much harsher form of the disease. Sickle Cell is a deadly disease which causes painful crises, stroke, acute chest, anemia, renal necrosis, and a multitude of other symptoms. After suffering from Sickle Cell disease, which claimed the life of his younger brother, Kirti has now entered an experimental phase 1 clinical trial in hopes of a cure. He  will  be the 3rd person ever to complete this treatment. This campaign is to raise funds for Kirti and his family to help with any costs related to the transplant. Any left over funds will be donated to Sickle Cell Research, so  please donate, share, or keep  him in your prayers.

Kirti is currently undergoing a toxic regimen of chemotherapy in order to prepare for his transplant on May 30th.

Even though Sickle Cell plagues millions around the world, there are very few medications on the market and currently the only cure is a transplant.
