<div>Hey everyone, i'm Melissa Kirchner, a 38 year old stay at home mom of 5 children-- Gabriel (12), Elijah (9), Declan (6), William (4) and Rosalee (2). Two weeks ago our lives turned upside down when I was diagnosed with triple negative metastatic breast cancer, a rare form of breast cancer that affects less than 1% of all breast cancer patients. I am in stage 3 with tumors in the left breast and lymph nodes carrying cancer. Due to the aggressive nature of this type of cancer, I will be receiving chemo weekly for the next 12 weeks, then 4 more chemo treatments over the following 12 weeks. From there I will undergo surgery, and radiation. I'm prepared to deal with whatever physical pain I have to in order to win this battle. At the same time I know I will not be able to provide for my family in the way I am used to and I know that my husband Ted will be missing time from work as he supports me and our family during this difficult time. We're starting this GoFundMe page to ensure that our children have everything they need, to help pay for medical bills, medication, and all the supplements and nutritional foods my body now requires. Any help, no matter the amount, will be greatly appreciated and help ease the financial burden our family is now facing.
