Kip's Elbow Dysplasia Surgery
Donation protected
This gofundme is for best friend, my twin sister, Kelley. She and her boyfriend Bryce adopted a sweet, loving, Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever mix, Kip, from Cincinnati Lab Rescue on October 28th of this year. He is estimated to be only one year old. Yesterday, Kelley and Bryce got home from work and Kip was in a tremendous amount of pain. He was limping very badly so they took him to their local vet. Kip was then transferred to MedVet where he got emergency X-Rays of his elbow. They suspected Elbow Dysplasia. Elbow dysplasia is a condition caused by the abnormal growth of cells, tissue or bone. Today they had an appointment with an amazing Orthopedic Surgeon at MedVet in Cincinnati where he was further evaluated. The best care plan for Kip includes a bilateral elbow scope and medical management. Kip is currently on pain medication and some anti-inflammatory medications. Kip’s surgery is scheduled for next Thursday, December 21st. Kip absolutely loves to play with all other dogs, especially my dog, Enzo. They are best friends and Kip needs this surgery to help him live a pain free and happy life. I know this dog means the world to my sister and her boyfriend, so any donations toward his surgery would be greatly appreciated. The emergency x-rays and exams yesterday cost them over $500, and the surgery for next Thursday is estimated at $4,500. Kelley and Bryce are both teachers. Kelley teaches 6th grade Language Arts and Bryce teaches High School Biology. If I can help them reach their goal and they have leftover funds, they will be donated to Cincinnati Lab Rescue. This rescue is amazing as they not only led Kelley to Kip, but I found my Enzo through them. CLR is a non-profit organization that gives Labrador Retrievers a second chance at life. Thank you for your help.
