Diese Förderkampagne ist für die Kinyambu-Sonderschule für geistig Eingeschränkte Kinder und das Rettungszentrum im Kibwezi Sub County, Makueni County in Kenia, bestimmt. Die Schule entstand in der Kinyambu Primary School und ist Teil des Kinyambu Primary School Compound.
Wir (Herr Sylvester Musembi Timothy und ich) sammeln Geld, um ein Klassenzimmer für Kinder mit besonderen Bedürfnissen zu finanzieren. Eine detailliertere Erklärung folgt weiter unten.
Herr Timothy und ich kennen uns seit 2007, als wir uns im Rahmen eines Projekts meiner Hochschule kennengelernt haben. Es war eine Arbeitsgruppe zur Unterstützung der Uchira-Gymnasiums in Tansania (Uchira). Herr Timothy war zu dieser Zeit Lehrer an dieser Schule. Jetzt ist Herr Timothy seit 2010 Oberlehrer an der Kinyambu-Sonderschule für geistig eingeschränkte Kinder und im Rettungszentrum. Herr Sylvester Musembi Timothy hat auch ein Buch mit dem Titel "The Playground Mist" geschrieben.
Für die Spezialeinheit in der Kinyambu-Sonderschule für geistig eingeschränkte Kinder und das Rettungszentrum wurde der Schule eine Patenschaft für einen Unterrichtsraum gewährt, welche 1 Million Kenianische Schilling (KSH) kostete (ca. 8005,00 EUR) . Voraussetzung ist, dass die Schule 10% der 1 Million KSH zur Verfügung stellt. und der Sposor wird 90% leisten. Die Patenschaft übernimmt Safaricom, ein führendes Kommunikationsunternehmen in Kenia mit der breitesten und stärksten Abdeckung. Im Anhang findet ihr den Vertrag zwischen der Schule und Safaricom. Die 10% (KSH. 100 000) müssen bis zum 5. Oktober an Safaricom übergeben werden, andernfalls wird der Vertrag gekündigt.
Das neue Klassenzimmer ist für Kinder mit besonderen Bedürfnissen gedacht, geistig eingeschränkt, körperlich eingeschränkt, autistisch und für andere mit mehreren Einschränkungen. Es wird speziell entwickelte Apparaturen zum Laufen geben. Es werden auch Apparate für die Entwicklung psychomotorischer Aktivitäten wie Sortieren, Gruppieren, Ankleiden usw. angeboten. Darüber hinaus sollen Gegenstände bereitgestellt werden, die den Lernenden helfen sollen, einige der täglichen Grundtätigkeiten des Lebens wie einfaches Waschen von Kleidern, Waschen von Utensilien usw. zu erledigen.
Leider läuft uns die Zeit davon, deshalb wenden wir uns jetzt an Freunde und Kollegen, um das restliche Geld zu sammeln. Je mehr Menschen teilnehmen, desto wahrscheinlicher ist es, dass wir das Ziel erreichen können, und desto geringer ist der Betrag, den eine einzelne Person abdecken muss. Wenn 44 Personen 5 EUR spenden, sind wir bereits in der Lage, das Ziel zu erreichen und das verbleibende Geld einzusammeln.

This funding campaign is for Kinyambu Special School for Mentally Disabled and Rescue Centre, situated in Kibwezi Sub county, Makueni County in Kenya. It branched from the Kinyambu Primary School and it operates within the Kinyambu Primary School Compound.
We (Mr Sylvester Musembi Timothy and myself) are raising money to fund a classroom for children with special needs, I will come back to a more detailed explanation.
Mr Timothy and I know each other since 2007 when we met in the frame of a project operated by my highschool. It was a working group to support Uchira Secondary School in Tanzania (Uchira) and Mr Timothy was a teacher at that school at that time. Now Mr Timothy is the senior teacher at Kinyambu Special School for Mentally Disabled and Rescue Centre since 2010. Mr Sylvester Musembi Timothy also wrote a book, "The Playground Mist".
For the special unit in Kinyambu Special School for Mentally Disabled and Rescue Centre, the school was granted a sponsorship of one classroom costing KSH. 1 million. The condition is that the school provides 10% of the KSH. 1 million and the sposor will provide 90%. The sponsorship is given by Safaricom, a leading communcations company in Kenya with the widest and strongest coverage. Please see attached the contract between the school and Safaricom. The KSH. 100 000 need to be given to Safaricom by 5th of October, otherwise the contract will be terminated.
The new classroom will be for special needs children, mentally challenged, physically challenged, autistic and others with multiple disabilities. There will be specially designed apparatus for walking. There will also be fittings of apparatus for development of psychomotor activities like sorting, grouping, dressing among others. Furthermore items designed to help the special learners on ability to carry out some of the daily basic living activities like simple washing of clothes, washing utensils etc. There shall also be equipments for apprenticeship vocational skills like shoe mending, knitting, weaving among others.
Unfortunately we are running out of time, that is the reason we are turning to friends and colleagues now to raise the remaining money. The more people participate, the more likely it will be that we can reach the target and the smaller will the amount be for a single person to cover. If 44 people donate 5 EUR we are already able to reach the target and collect the remaining needed money.
