Kingsleigh Needs Your Help

Kingsleigh is a senior Beagle that has suffered a life of neglect and has a horrible hip injury. His health is also compromised by heart worms, and tick borne diseases Ehrlichia and Lyme disease.

We are not sure what happened to his leg- but the only way to help him will be surgery to remove the top of the hip bone and then helping the muscles and injured and atrophied muscles with TLC and swimming therapy. When we did additional xrays- it was discovered that his spleen and prostrate were enlarged as well as his heart and there was lung inflammation too.

No doubt the tick borne diseases have contributed to that, but we are hopeful that with aggressive treatment with antibiotics that he will be ready for his hip surgery in February. As tick borne disease can cause blood clotting issues and something called Thrombocytopenia -- we want to make sure his spleen is happy and producing happy red blood cells.

We would surely appreciate your support as his first bet bill was close to $700 and hip surgery could be up to $1500. We are not sure how much swimming therapy is but we hope to see him walking on that back leg by March of 2022.
