Grading South of Kings Ranch Road

Update 9/24/19

Thanks to your donations last year, the south Kings Ranch Road project is for the most part compete and the road is paved!

We have a new project for our community that we have been fundraising for. Our total fundraising goal is $2,800 for this project. As of today we have met our fundraising goal and and will be scheduling the work to professionally re-shape, fill, grade, water and pack Lanes Ranch Road from the corner at Kings Ranch to the corner at Hutchinson, then down Hutchinson to Clinton Road. Hurrah!!

Here is a short description of the new work to be done:

The project is to be done by Rutherford Diversified, they will bring 4 pieces of equipment, a grader, a water truck a front end loader and a roller.  They will be using the material piled along Lanes Ranch for fill.  They will grade, fill and roll with water to make as substantial a road as possible.

There will be a community meeting and celebration of the completion of the paving on Kings Ranch Road.
The time and date is 11:00 am on Saturday November 2nd, 2019.
Location: at the ranch with the Clydesdales in the corner of Kings Ranch Road and Lanes Ranch Road.  A meeting announcement will be made on the “Next Door” website group, as well in a notice that will be posted at the mailboxes. 

A little note of explanation to clear up any confusion about the funds raised that shows on Go Fund Me: 
To avoid losing our donor list (we never see your email addresses) and having to set up a new non profit account and bank account link we are using our previous fundraiser page for Kings Ranch Road and have edited the goal. We are unable to edit the funds raised number. $11,715 of the funds raised number that shows are from the previous fundraiser. That money was spent on the Kings Ranch Road project. We also edit the goal to account for people who send donation checks in the mail.

Neighbors for Improved Roads began meeting with Cochise County officials in early Spring 2018 to discuss making South Kings Ranch Road a public paved road and bringing it into the Cochise County road system. 
There are 266 households that use Kings Ranch Road to access Highway 92. This project made the road a more stable chip sealed road and transferred the road into the County road system. All future maintenance will be done by the County making no further fundraising necessary for the Kings Ranch Road section of our community.
