King’s Hawthornes Community Fund

My name is Peter Gaul and I am the Principal of King’s Leadership Academy Hawthornes, a school in Bootle, Merseyside, a school in the Great Schools Trust., a school which tries to be very much at the heart of its community. These last fifteen months have shown us the importance of school and learning for everyone.
To help our community even further, we are setting up the King’s Hawthornes Community Fund to resource a variety of additional projects to enhance the learning of our students even further so that they can aspire to even greater things. We have decided that the first project we hope to fund from the Community Fund will be a new PE uniform for every child: a thank you for their incredible resilience and good humour during the most challenging of times.
Taking inspiration from the #CaptainTom100, I will be attempting to do the 100 Press Ups Challenge in 100 seconds at the end of May.
A huge thank you to everybody who has donated this first week of the campaign. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Wish me and my elbows good luck!
