King Harbor White Seabass Grow-out
King Harbor White SeaBass Grow-out facility grows white seabass from 3-5 inches to 8-12 inches to help strengthen the population of white seabass in the Pacific Ocean. This is an important work to keep the ecosystem healthy. We realease approx. 5,500 white seabass with every release and we release into King Harbor in Redondo Beach, CA usually twice a year. Approximately 30 volunteers take part in the releasing of the seabass and preparing the facility for the next batch to be raised.
These volunteers are dedicated to seeing the local seabass thrive. We have minimal needs for the facility and most of the funds will be used for rent on the facility. The remainder will be used for basic repairs to the tanks and pumps. This is the appox. annual operating cost for the foundation. The non-profit 501C foundation is the King Harbor Ocean Enhancement Foundation. Please help keep our oceans healthy and our ecosystems strong.
