This picture is just a small glimpse of what our property looks like. Plz go to my FB pg: https://www.facebook.com/JanetAulisi
and see several more photos since Sept 10th on.
We hope and pray you and your fur babies are safe and sound. And if you did get damage that it was minimal and you have a roof over your head. Irma was such a widespread devastating storm. We pray you either made it out of Naples or were someplace safe.

Our grounds didn't fair well at all. The house damage was minimal but the property is pretty much demolished. Our house has damage to shingles but no leaks, gutters hanging, screen enclosure, privacy and chain link fences damaged, deck was ripped out from fence falling, cameras damaged, front gate, lamps at gates were tore out and our one shed's roof got opened like an anchovy can. So many big pine trees went down, all our other specimen trees were either snapped off on top, completely down or uprooted and now dying. I don't think there's one tree on our property, except cabbage palms that doesnt have damage-5 hong kong orchids,3 jacarandas that my mom planted from a seed 30 ft tall demolished, 7 frangipanis, 4 acacias, our beautiful queen myrtle, 3 rose bushes, 3 crotons, 2 oaks, 1 gold tree,1 ficus tree, top of Norfolk pine,- all either topped off, mangled or on the ground.

3 car canopies were mangled but unbelievably the van was OK but car has both tail light's broken. Insurance deductible on the car is more than what it would probably take to fix them. We had trees across driveway and every inch of our property is covered with debris. There''s not one spot in the front or back ptoperty that you can see the ground! Luckily our friends down the street came over the morning after the storm to check on us and helped us clear the driveway. Of course, no electric, tv, cell, internet. Our generator worked well but we had to conserve propane as it was getting low. But now, thank God we do have electric. However cell service is minimum. Very spotty. Sometimes I can get online and other times I can't. We're losing a lot of business now until we can clean up and also the week before Irma hit we lost over $3000 due to cancellations.
Also, since we didn't have major house damage my application with fema was denied.

I know we and our pups are safe but the rest of the property is just terrible. We are alive and not hurt and we feel blessed for that but we put 23 yrs into this house and business. People called it shangri-la, a tropical paradise, now all gone. Paradise lost. Our souls are extremely damaged. Words just can't describe it. Wilma was nothing compared to this. We could really use some help financially to hire a professional tree trimmer and removal company as the insurance will not pay for cleaning any of this up. And because of the higher deductible during a hurricane of $7600, I don't think the house damages will get covered either. We just don't know how we're going to do it and even get back in business soon. We also have some reservations on the books coming up and need to at least clean up some of the yard to get up and running. We are both raking and picking up what we can. Cant get the big stuff. We need to get the trees chain sawed including the ones that are just propped up by other trees and either hauled to the street or put in a chipper.

If there's anything you can do, we'd appreciate it immensely.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts in advance for any help you may give. Janet, Jaye, Xena, Zach, Athena, Jenni + Miss Harriet.
