Kindness/Strangers: Cancer Support

I am running with a team called Kindness of Strangers in the upcoming Blackmores Bridge Run. We are running for a person I know who has recently been diagnosed with Cancer and is preparing for surgery followed by a who-knows-how-long recovery.
I will be joined by Madeleine Kelly, Raquel Ormella and Julieanne Campbell in the run.
I am appealing to my friends in the arts and in the LGBTQI community in Sydney to support this friend, who may also be your friend. The life that we lead in the arts is precarious. Most of us don't have such things as "sick leave" and "income protection insurance" or "private healthcare" to support us when we encounter health and money troubles. But we do have each other.
Giving will help our friend heal, and reduce their worry about finances and the immediate future.
Big loves. It's a shit time at the moment, but this action will support someone in our community who really needs it.
