Kindness For Kainan

Donation protected
Sadly my sisters boyfriend Kainan Kent has been gravely ill for three week, with an ear infection, which has ultimately lead to him developing Bacterial Meningitis.
On Wednesday 6th September he was put into an induced coma, as shortly after suspecting meningitis, a CT Scan showed he had complications.
Infection spread to his brain causing immense pressure with fluid building up, which can lead to brain damage. On Wednesday night he was rushed to Southmead hospital straight into theatre to have a tube inserted into his skull to drain the infected fluid from his brain. He is now off sedation and in a coma in the Intensive Care Unit, showing very slight signs of improvement. The doctors have explained that he has a seriously life threatening condition and he remain in hospital for many weeks.

Kainans mum, Sam, has flew over from Spain to be with him and is battling ill health. Hannah does not live in Bristol and as you can understand neither of them want to leave his side, although financial problems are something which are adding to their already extremely stressful and worrying time.

The hospital have allowed them to stay in their family room all-though there 72hrs are now at a end, they have been so kind and have let them stay for one more night.
From Sunday 10th they will have to find somewhere to stay. Kainan is going to be in the ICU for many weeks, Hannah and his mum want to stay as close to him as possible and be there for him when he wakes up. As stated Hannah lives in wales, and Sam lives in Spain so they will have to find accommodation in Bristol.
There is hospital accommodation, called monk house which has five rooms and is £33 a night this is the best option.
My mum is calling everyday to try and get them in there but it has been fully booked up to this point. They need to be as close to him as they can. This is the best option and most importantly it allows them quick and easy access to the icu if they are needed.

I am making this page to help my sister and his mum with living costs, aftercare etc, as they will be staying in Bristol for as long as it takes for him to heal. They do not work in the city of Bristol and as you can imagine they are spending every hour they can at his be side. The doctors say they can't be sure when he will wake up or what the outcome will be as it's too early to tell, so it is a very frightening time.

Literally anything will help and anything left over will be donated straight to the Intensive Care Unit were he is being amazingly looked after with 24/7 care!
(Even a spare room for a night would be greatly appreciated)
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and god bless you.
