Dear brothers and sisters,
First of all, I would like to introduce you the way this project was destined to come to reality.
After climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, I had planned to stay few days with a Maasai family of my mountain's guide called Kaira, who lives 2 kilometres away from a small village called Engaruka, Tanzania. This turns out to be one of the most interesting experiences I have ever had in my life, discovering a new life system based on very few resources.
Life is really hard over there, you can check some details and pictures from the link bellow. But I would like to focus on education, as it is the key for success and a clean path in achieving dreams. Most children from their tribes aim to go to school, hoping that life will bring them opportunities for the modern world. Even so, this still is a huge step for them due to how expensive it is and unfortunately most parents cannot afford that. Another serious challenge is that most regions lack kindergartens, and without them, kids will not be able to go to primary school.
Kaira told me he started a kindergarten near his house under a tree. Later on they built a classroom, also used as a church now, which is holding 64 students at the moment. But the space is not enough as many parents are demanding him that their children join too.
Kaira's dream is to build a suitable kindergarten to expand the number of students appx. to 150. Here is how a dream turns out to be a project, in hope that it will come to reality. I am just looking forward to seeing how those wonderful smiling children can seek knowledge and get opportunities in life.
The idea is to build a small kindergarten out of cement near the actual classroom with following:
- 2 classrooms (6x8 meters each)
- each classroom will have:
- 15 chairs and 15 tables of wood
- one more chair and table for the teacher
- big blackboard
- bathrooms of 6 doors
After talking to some experts, this will cost 30-35 million Tanzanian Shillings (Appx. 10.000 euros).
Now we just need 100 special people to donate 100 euros each. We'll be also grateful for bigger or smaller donations.
Do you want to be part of the joy of these children and contribute in fulfilling Kaira's dream? You are welcome to help build this kindergarten and participate in a sustainable and real change!
Peace to you all,https://photos.app.goo.gl/fhCgcMpmQhf4hmSv8
