Kindamindi is a non-profit, small, community centre which has been housed in a Waverley Council building and run by the volunteer parents committee since 1980. We may be small and simple, but we love our staff and our children and want to raise some funds to do some long overdue, essential upgrades, replacement and repairs to our fencing and outdoor area where the children play, explore and learn every day. Our goal is to complete all these outstanding repairs by the end of 2018.
Last year we raised over $4000 (!!) which we used to purchase all the materials needed to strip back, extensively patch up, repair, repaint and refresh the interior of the kindy building (the dirty, hark yakka labour was all done by our own hard working, cheerful, parent volunteers and our Centre Director during the Christmas holiday closure). We also used the funds to build a new library corner, new safe storage cupboards and supplement our library books. It was a huge improvement to our children's interior learning and reading environment.
This year many parents are running the gruelling City to Surf 14kms from Sydney CBD to Bondi Beach and we're hoping to raise some hefty sponsorship $$$ to support our athletic parents and our little community centre with our external upgrade works.
If you have some spare $$ you want to pitch in to support our running parents, and our children, we will be so grateful and appreciative of your generous support! Thank you! And feel free to share far and wide to all others who may want to lighten their pockets!
