Kim's Wellness Treatment Fund

Kim is a police officer with the Norfolk Police Department in Norfolk,Virginia. As many of you may know, Kim participated in the Law Enforcement United bike ride this year for the first time. Unfortunately, she was unable to finish the ride after suffering a bad fall on the second day. She was forced to return home early to begin her recovery from a diagnosed concussion, which left her with many discomforting symptoms to include the loss of external feeling in her lower right leg. After a few doctors visits, Kim was left with no explanation or resolve as to the loss of feeling, exhausting every option the insurance would cover. Over the last few weeks she has been trying to manage difficulties with her short term memory, headaches and other symptoms associated with a concussion. She became doubtful she would be able to return to life as she knew it, until she sought relief at an unconventional treatment facility this past week. Within the first 15 minutes of treatment, Kim tearfully shared with others that she could feel her right ankle for the first time since the accident. With the success of the treatment, she is eager to continue this effective path to recovery, however the number of treatments necessary will be an out of pocket expense. Kim is always the first person to put her hand in her pocket to help others. Let us repay her generosity by helping us raise the money necessary to complete these treatments and get her back to work.
